Mount Bachelor: Variety and Simplicity
This painting of Mt. Bachelor in Bend, Oregon was a special collaboration between Pete Alport (photographer) and me and my paintbrush. Pete allowed me to paint his photo, thereby granting me access to a place I’ve never been before. I was drawn in by the alpenglow: the beautiful, subtle rainbow in the sky, reminding me of California sunsets.
The detail in this painting was created by painstakingly painting tiny trees with a 6-strand brush, one by one. This was my trek up the mountain. Each step was a stroke of my paint brush, and the climb was worth the time.
This is a SQUARE print.
