Dominique’s evolving Sea Tweed (TM) process brings dimension and material presence into the work—transforming each unique, handmade piece into textile art that is meant to be experienced.
Sea Tweed
Sea Tweed (TM) is a signature, evolving process combining painting, stitching, and textile-based layering to create richly dimensional surfaces that reflect the mystical nature of ocean mythological creatures.
Each piece is “painted” with thread, fabric, and beads—resulting in work that captures the light, holds texture, and carries a physical presence that moves you, as it moves with you.
I use Linton Tweed, the same tweed maker that Coco Chanel sourced her tweed from. I embody a couture approach to each piece.
No two pieces can be replicated. All work is unique, handmade, and one-of-a-kind.

It’s a cool morning on the beach. The sand is wet and cold and hard under my bare feet. I hear seagulls and pelicans call and dive into the serene water which seems to blend into the sky at the horizon.
I’ve never felt more alive. The green peels of cresting waves wake my senses as I hear them crash into the quicksilver water below.
